A super-easy way to check your tire tread is with a penny. With President Lincoln's head pointed down, insert the penny into the grooves on your tire tread. If any part of Lincoln's head is hidden by the tire tread, your tires are fine. Otherwise, your treads are too shallow and it's time to replace your tires. Also look for the wear bars if the tread is the same height you need tires.(see picture below) Also turn your wheels all the way to the right or left this will let you get a good look at the whole tire. If you notice cords or wires you need new tires.
